NSW Government Green Globe Awards

The NSW Government's Green Globe Awards are the leading environmental awards recognising environmental excellence, leadership and innovation.

The 13^th annual Green Globe Awards are open to small and large businesses, individuals, state and local government and not-for-profit organisations. Twelve categories are open for public nomination covering a range of energy efficiency, waste and environmental sustainability initiatives.

The awards are decided by an independent panel of expert judges. Winners are announced at a gala event hosted by the Minister for the Environment.

Entering the Green Globe Awards provides the opportunity to:

• gain public recognition at the highest level in NSW
• showcase the innovative work, expertise and vision of your organisation or project
• network with industry, government and environmental leaders
• learn about other projects and initiatives and share ideas with key stakeholders

Fifteen Green Globe Awards will be presented in 2012, 12 of these award categories are open for public nomination.

To get started on your nomination:

• choose an award category
• create an account and submit your nomination by 5pm (AEST) Thursday 7 June 2012.

Green Globe Award winners demonstrate significant achievement in environmental management across New South Wales.

The 2011 winner of the Premier's Award for Sustainability Excellence was Investa Property Group. Investa launched a number of initiatives having a significant impact on the way commercial buildings operate.
