Green Globe Awards

The 2012 Green Globe Award winners were announced at an award ceremony hosted by the NSW Environment Minister on Monday 3 September 2012.

The NSW Government's Green Globe Awards are the leading environmental awards recognising environmental excellence, leadership and innovation.

The 2012 Green Globe Awards recognise small and large businesses, individuals, state and local governments and not-for-profit organisations in NSW across the twelve award categories.

2012 Green Globe Award winners announced!

Mission Australia won the 2012 Premier's Award for Environmental Excellence at the 2012 Green Globe Awards for their Soft landing project. Lachlan Catchment Management Authority were presented the Regional Sustianability Award for the Lachlan Riverine Working Group project.

The Green Globe Award winners are decided by the 2012 judging panel which consists of representatives from a number of industry associations as well as experts in the fields of energy, water, waste and sustainability.

This award honours previous Green Globe Award winners that can demonstrate continued long-term environmental achievements and successful program delivery outcomes between 2002 and 2012. The 2012 winners are:

Green Globe Awards 2012 - Nomination guide

The Green Globe Awards provides the opportunity to:

  • gain public recognition at the highest level in NSW
  • showcase the innovative work, expertise and vision of your organisation or project
  • network with industry, government and environmental leaders
  • learn about other projects and initiatives and share ideas with key stakeholders.

Celebrate previous achievements and winners

Green Globe Award winners demonstrate significant achievement in environmental management across New South Wales.

The 2011 winner of the Premier's Award for Sustainability Excellence was Investa Property Group. Investa launched a number of initiatives having a significant impact on the way commercial buildings operate.
